This weekend, the Manuelito Project marked 20 years and held a celebration! The Manuelito Project all started with Pastor Jorge Pinto’s vision to see street children’s lives transformed and chains broken. It is the unfortunate reality that so many children in Honduras grow up homeless, resulting in chronic hunger, illness, drug abuse, and violence. With Pastor Jorge’s vision in mind, he started the Project as a dormitory above his church in Tegucigalpa 20 years ago. Since then, Project Manuelito moved to a 50+ acre parcel in Talanga and currently houses about 30 children and is a school to more than 150 children in the community who cannot afford public education. The Manuelito Project has been the open-arms door that has provided not only roof, clothing, food, and education, but has also fulfilled what our Lord Jesus Christ said, “let the children come to me.”
The Manuelito Project reports that, “it has not been easy, but this only demonstrates the greatness, faithfulness and mercy of God… let the glory be His”. The Project thanks its continued support of all their friends and donors!
Here at Impact, we are proud to have the opportunity to allow people to sponsor the children who live at the Manuelito Project. We and the Manuelito Project are so thankful for your support!
